Branch Ambassador

Become a Branch Ambassador

Volunteer Ambassador

The RSPCA Halifax, Huddersfield & Bradford branch is looking for individuals who are passionate about animal welfare and our mission to join us as Volunteer Ambassadors. In this important role, you will act as the “face” of our charity in the community, raising awareness of our work, including our ongoing Really Big Refurb project, and inspiring the local community to support our vital work improving the lives of local animals in need.

As an Ambassador, you will represent the branch across our region to build relationships and champion our cause. Key activities may include:

· Representing the Charity: Attending community meetings, school assemblies, class talks, cheque presentations

· Public Speaking: Delivering presentations about our impact, our role within the RSPCA as a local branch, and our Really Big Refurb appeal

· Community Engagement: Building relationships with local groups and associations to garner support, conversing with members of the public and confidently answering questions about the charity

· Advocacy: Educating the public on animal welfare, challenging misconceptions, and signposting our services to those in need

· Fundraising Support: Inspiring others to fundraise and assisting at specific branch events where required

Training & Support

No prior experience is necessary, as we provide full training. You will gain a deep understanding of how our local branch operates, our relationship with the national RSPCA, and the life-changing work we do for animals in our community. The role is flexible and will take into account prior experience and your comfort levels speaking with different kinds of audiences.

Who We Are Looking For

We are seeking friendly, professional, and confident communicators who are comfortable engaging with the public and with a flexible schedule. If you are passionate about being a voice for local animals, this is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference.

Time

Ambassadors may be called upon during the week, with occasional evenings or weekends, usually for no longer than an hour at a time.
