Tato’s story…

We can’t imagine what Tato was going through as a stray left to fend for himself on the street, whilst suffering from a horrific pelvis fracture. Can you help us with his life-saving £780 amputation costs?

Tato arrived in our care on September 15th after being found in a park nearby with a terrible pelvis injury and clearly in lots of pain. After being brought to us by an RSPCA Inspector, our Animal Centre Team knew this poor boy required immediate veterinary treatment.

Tato was swiftly taken for an emergency assessment where it was confirmed he would require surgery. Sadly, during his operation, due to the extent of his injuries the vet team had to amputate Tato’s leg entirely.

We were devastated that this lovely one year old boy would now have to spend the rest of his life on 3 legs – but we felt relieved that he was on the road to recovery, and wouldn’t have to endure another moment on the streets wondering when help would come …or if it ever would at all.

As a local and self-funded branch of the RSPCA, it’s our job and proud mission to make sure every animal who comes through our doors receives the best possible love and care, safe in the knowledge they will never have to spend another moment suffering.

Tato’s surgery and aftercare costs totalled over £780, but this amazing little cat is worth every penny! Tato has made an incredible recovery over the past few weeks and will soon be ready to find a loving forever home.

However, without the support of our amazing community, we wouldn’t be able to provide life saving care for animals like Tato and for this reason we’d be so grateful for any contributions towards his care costs. To support our appeal, you can donate via our stripe here – https://donate.stripe.com/7sIaGy5XWdx38G48xX

Any amount – no matter how big or small – will help us considerably. Our Animal Centre relies solely on donations from our local community to keep running and we receive no external RSPCA or government funding.

Thank you so much for being an integral part of the work we do here, your support is invaluable to us and will ensure we can always be there for the countless animals in need, who may otherwise have nowhere else to turn.

If you’re interested in adopting this beautiful boy, you will soon be able to submit an adoption form via our website. Tato may only have 3 legs but he’s still oozing with love, resilience and affection. There’s no doubt he will make the most amazing companion to anyone with a space in their heart and a spot on their sofa!
