Purrfect Day

Join us for a purr-fect day out at Darley Street Market, Bradford, BD1 3AW on Saturday 30th May from 11am to 4pm as we celebrate all things cats!

What's it all about?

From cat themed stalls, workshops and expert talks to our virtual cat show, cat bingo and family activities, there’s something for every feline fan to enjoy. We’ll even have a special guest appearance from our very own Robocat… we promised you’re going to love him!

Best of all, every penny raised will help support our vital cattery refurbishment project, improving the lives of cats in our care across Halifax, Huddersfield and Bradford.

How Do I Enter The Virtual Cat Show?

This is going to be so much fun! We’ll be announcing our event timings and Virtual Cat Show classes very soon, with categories ranging from Best Rescue and Cutest Pose to Silliest Cat.

Simply bring your favourite cat photos along on your phone, show them to our judges on the day, and be in with the chance of winning a rosette for your fabulous feline. Classes are just £2 to enter and we can’t wait to see all of your gorgeous moggie pics!

Tell me about the talks and workshops...

Throughout the day, visitors can enjoy a range of talks and interactive workshops covering everything from cat behaviour and kitten care to helping stray cats and understanding feline life stages. There’ll also be hands on creative sessions where you can make your own cat toys and kitty themed artwork, making it the perfect day out for cat lovers of all ages.

What about the stalls and activities?

There’ll be plenty to explore throughout the day with a fantastic range of cat themed stalls, shopping and activities in the courtyard at Darley Street Market. Visitors can browse eco friendly cat products, luxury scratching posts, pet portraits, gifts, home décor and more, alongside family favourites including face painting and cat bingo. Whether you’re treating your feline friend or simply enjoying the atmosphere, there’ll be something for everyone to enjoy.

I want to put my cat on the big screen!

Of course you do! We think your cat deserves to be famous for the day too! To get your kitty’s face in bright lights in the town centre, simply fill in the form below with your best pic and a short sentence, make a £10 donation and we’ll do the rest! You’ll see your cat on the screen on rotation through the entire festival…. just make sure your feline can handle the fame.
