Support 9 Dogs Rescued From Horrific Manchester Puppy Farm

Rescued From The Puppy Trade and Horrifying Conditions – Can you help us with Holly, Ivy and 7 pups’ £2500 care costs?
Crammed into filthy cages. Coats knotted with old faeces and urine & terrified of human interaction.
This was the shocking reality uncovered when police raided properties in Radcliffe, Greater Manchester, exposing the brutal truth of the horrific puppy trade. More than 70 dogs and puppies were rescued after a concerned member of the public raised the alarm.
Nine of those 70 dogs are now in the care of RSPCA Halifax, Huddersfield and Bradford.
When they arrived at the centre, the smell hit our team first. Their coats were filthy, heavily matted and stained with urine. Many were trembling and unsure what to do, yet even in their fear, they allowed us to help.
After a brief settling-in period, our team gently bathed and shaved every dog, washing away layers of neglect. For many, it was the first relief they had ever experienced, and the change was immediate. We saw their bodies soften, tension eased, and a trust began to form.
Among the rescued dogs now in our care are seven puppies, believed to be Cockerpoo, Spaniel and Terrier types, and two adult dogs, Holly (a Terrier) and Ivy (a Dachshund). Holly and Ivy are slowly beginning to accept the simple comforts they were denied for so long, including cuddles, warm beds, soothing baths and the safety of reliable care.
All seven puppies have now been bathed and are doing well. Sadly, one little pup – a King Charles Cavalier Spaniel – who we have named Gingerbread, is currently being cared for in a separate isolation unit. Gingerbread has lost a lot of his coat and is being closely monitored by our team as he receives the ongoing care and attention he needs; alongside all of the dogs we have taken in from this case.
We need your help, because rescue is only the beginning. The cost of caring for these nine dogs will exceed £2,500, covering vital veterinary care, vaccinations, specialist food, and ongoing rehabilitation.
We are a local, self-funded RSPCA branch. We receive no direct donations or funding from the National RSPCA or the government, yet we step in when animals have nowhere else to go. We are also working hard to finish our centre refurbishment project so we can continue rescuing animals like these when the next call inevitably comes.
Please help us finish their story. These dogs were treated as not much more than possessions. With your help, they can finally be treated as family.

We know we have been sharing a lot of fundraisers recently, and our supporters and community have been nothing short of amazingly generous. We considered not sharing this at all, especially with the pressure of Christmas, but we felt it was important to show the harsh reality of what we are facing right now and why we urgently need your support, for this reason we’re asking for as little as £1 to make donating as affordable as possible.
If you can donate, we are incredibly grateful. If you cannot, sharing their story still helps shine a light on the cruelty of the illegal puppy trade.
Thank you for standing with us and for being the reason these nine dogs now have hope.
